Description
This swordfish steak air fryer recipe is juicy, fast, and full of flavor. It’s perfect for a healthy weeknight dinner with crisp edges, flaky texture, and minimal cleanup.
Ingredients
2 swordfish steaks (1-inch thick, about 6 oz each)
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 garlic clove, minced
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
1/4 teaspoon smoked paprika
Juice of 1/2 lemon
Optional garnish: chopped parsley, lemon wedges
Instructions
Pat the swordfish steaks dry with a paper towel.
In a small bowl, mix olive oil, garlic, salt, pepper, and smoked paprika. Rub this mixture all over the swordfish.
Squeeze lemon juice over both sides of the steaks. Let marinate for 10–15 minutes if time allows.
Preheat your air fryer to 400°F for 2–3 minutes.
Place the swordfish steaks in a single layer in the air fryer basket.
Air fry at 400°F for 8–10 minutes, flipping halfway through.
Use a meat thermometer to ensure internal temp reaches 145°F.
Let the steaks rest for 1–2 minutes before serving.
Garnish with chopped parsley and lemon wedges. Serve immediately.
Notes
If using frozen swordfish, thaw completely before seasoning.
For a deeper flavor, marinate the fish up to 30 minutes.
Avoid overcrowding the air fryer basket—cook in batches if needed.
Reheat leftovers at 350°F in the air fryer for 3–4 minutes.
