Description
This tender, slow-cooked pulled beef is drenched in bold, smoky Stubb’s barbecue sauce for a rich and satisfying flavor. Perfect for sandwiches, rice bowls, or BBQ platters, it’s a crowd-pleaser that’s easy to prep and packed with authentic taste.
Ingredients
3 lbs chuck roast (well-marbled)
1 ½ cups Stubb’s Original Barbecue Sauce
1 medium yellow onion, sliced
4 garlic cloves, minced
1 tbsp smoked paprika
1 tsp salt
½ tsp black pepper
½ cup beef broth or water
Optional: extra sauce for serving
Optional: brioche buns, pickles, coleslaw for serving
Instructions
Season chuck roast with salt, pepper, and smoked paprika.
Place onions and garlic in the bottom of your slow cooker.
Add seasoned beef on top, then pour in beef broth.
Cover and cook on LOW for 8–9 hours or HIGH for 4–5 hours.
Shred beef with two forks and discard excess fat.
Stir in Stubb’s barbecue sauce. Mix until evenly coated.
Let simmer on WARM for 10–15 minutes to allow flavors to meld.
Serve on buns, over rice, or with your favorite BBQ sides.
Notes
For extra flavor, sear the beef in a hot skillet before slow cooking.
You can substitute Smokey Mesquite Stubb’s sauce for a deeper smoky flavor.
Use leftovers for sandwiches, tacos, or nachos.
Freezes well for up to 3 months.
