Ingredients
-
1 can refrigerated cinnamon rolls (or 6 homemade rolls)
-
1 tablespoon butter (for greasing pan)
-
Optional toppings:
-
Maple glaze
-
Cream cheese frosting
-
Toasted pecans
-
Fresh fruit or zest
-
Chocolate chips
-
Instructions
-
Preheat grill to medium heat (around 350°F). Close the lid and allow it to stabilize.
-
Lightly butter a cast iron skillet or grill-safe pan.
-
Place cinnamon rolls in the pan, spacing them at least ½ inch apart.
-
Set the skillet on the grill grates. Close the lid and cook for 15–20 minutes.
-
Rotate the pan halfway through for even browning.
-
Check doneness: rolls should be golden on top and slightly firm around edges.
-
Remove from heat and allow to cool slightly.
-
Drizzle with icing or your favorite toppings before serving.
Notes
-
Use foil to tent the skillet if your grill runs hot to prevent burning the tops.
-
For homemade dough, roll tightly and avoid overfilling to prevent soggy bottoms.
-
Grilled fruit or a fresh salad pairs beautifully with these rolls for brunch.
