Ingredients

  • 1 can (15 oz) chickpeas, drained and rinsed

  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder

  • ½ teaspoon smoked paprika

  • ¼ teaspoon sea salt

  • Pinch of cayenne pepper (optional)


Instructions

  1. Drain and rinse chickpeas thoroughly.

  2. Pat chickpeas dry with a clean towel and let sit for 20 minutes.

  3. In a bowl, toss chickpeas with olive oil until evenly coated.

  4. Add garlic powder, smoked paprika, sea salt, and cayenne if desired. Mix well.

  5. Preheat air fryer to 390°F.

  6. Spread chickpeas in a single layer in the air fryer basket.

  7. Cook for 12–15 minutes, shaking halfway through.

  8. Optionally, add another sprinkle of seasoning while hot.

  9. Let cool slightly before serving.


Notes

  1.    For extra crunch, dry chickpeas thoroughly and allow to air-dry before seasoning.
  2.    Try other blends like lemon-pepper, curry, or cinnamon sugar for variety.
  3.    Chickpeas continue to crisp up slightly as they cool.
