1 can (15 oz) chickpeas, drained and rinsed
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 teaspoon garlic powder
½ teaspoon smoked paprika
¼ teaspoon sea salt
Pinch of cayenne pepper (optional)
Instructions
Drain and rinse chickpeas thoroughly.
Pat chickpeas dry with a clean towel and let sit for 20 minutes.
In a bowl, toss chickpeas with olive oil until evenly coated.
Add garlic powder, smoked paprika, sea salt, and cayenne if desired. Mix well.
Preheat air fryer to 390°F.
Spread chickpeas in a single layer in the air fryer basket.
Cook for 12–15 minutes, shaking halfway through.
Optionally, add another sprinkle of seasoning while hot.
Let cool slightly before serving.
Notes
- For extra crunch, dry chickpeas thoroughly and allow to air-dry before seasoning.
- Try other blends like lemon-pepper, curry, or cinnamon sugar for variety.
- Chickpeas continue to crisp up slightly as they cool.
